ACUPUNCTURE:
The placement of fine (as thin as a hair on your head), sterile, single-use needles at specific acupuncture points on the body. This stimulates circulation throughout the body and activates the body's Qi (vital force) to promote natural healing by enhancing recuperative power, immunity and physical/emotional health. It also can improve overall function and well-being. It is a safe, painless and extremely effective way to treat a wide variety of medical issues.

ACU-POINT INJECTION THERAPY:
APIT uses injection of sterilized homeopathic and Chinese herbal remedies into specific acupuncture points. In Chinese medicine, acupuncture points are theorized to lie along various meridians. These meridians have functional relationships with blood and energy flow in the body. In other words, these meridians connect and integrate one region of the body with another. Stimulating acupuncture points with an acupuncture needle can have certain therapeutic results; Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy combines the therapeutic actions of the injectable natural solutions with the therapeutic regulating principles of acupuncture, for heightened effectiveness.

ACU-THERAPY:
This is a unique concept combining the best of both Eastern and Western techniques and philosophies. Utilizing the most ancient form of medicine known to man with acupuncture in combination with modern physical therapy methods, provides a complete and integrated healing approach to most musculoskeletal pain syndromes.

TUINA:
An integral component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tui Na literally translates as “push pull.” Tui Na utilizes deep pressure to move the Qi and blood within the meridians to disperse stagnation and balance the body.

HERBS:
Like acupuncture, herbology is an important branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. Flowers, barks, leaves, roots, seeds, stems, fruits, berries, and many other gifts of nature are mixed in different combinations to create powerful, healing recipes that are carefully balanced according to the energetic principles. Formulas treat a wide variety of symptoms while stimulating the body's natural healing process.

MOXIBUSTION:
Dried leaves of the mugwort plant, artemesia, in various forms are burned and held over certain areas of the body to warm and stimulate Qi or energy. This method can be especially effective in treating not only stress, but arthritis, asthma, IBS, aiding digestion, and increasing the body's overall energy!

CUPPING:
A therapy designed to stimulate the flow of blood and Qi within the superficial muscle layers. It is used for sore muscles, tension, neck/back pain, and the common cold. This is performed by placing small glass cups on specific areas of your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat or suction. The cups may be moved over an area of the body or left in place. This may leave the treated area with mild bruising. The discoloration is a sign of healing and will dissipate in a few days.

Guasha:
A technique used to release muscle tension, tightness, and constriction. A specialized tool is used to gently scrape or rub the skin over a problem area. Guasha feels a bit like a deep massage. This too may leave some slight bruising on and around the treated area and will dissipate within a few days.

MANUAL THERAPY:
Manual therapy is a clinical approach utilizing skilled, specific hands-on Physical Therapy techniques, including joint and tissue mobilizations, used to assess and treat soft tissues and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain; increasing range of motion; reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation; inducing relaxation; improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability; facilitating movement; and improving function. It is procedures by which the hands directly contact the body to treat the articulations and/or soft tissues.

EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION:
Incorporating safe and effective therapeutic exercises is often the key element in preventing physical aches and pains from reoccurring following successful treatment. This often may include but not limited to recommendations such as Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, postural re-education exercises, and very specific resistant exercises to rebalance the body's muscular imbalances.

DIAGNOSTICS:
Blood Spot and Saliva Hormone Laboratory Testing
